SINGAPORE STOPOVER

Hej babes! Hoppas ni haft/har en fin helg. :-) Jag försöker ta en “day off” på lördagar, jag tänkte försöka börja med det efter resan till Indonesien. Jag tycker ni ska köra på samma om ni har möjlighet. Inte skrolla på mobilen eller kolla mailen. Det var inte det jag skulle prata om, haha! Jag tänkte visa er vad vi hann med under 10 timmar i Singapore! Vi åkte ju den vägen när vi skulle tillbaka till Europa och vi har en vän som bor där som visade oss runt. Vi började med en sväng till China Town – så häftigt ställe!

I think you should do the same if you have the opportunity. Not scroll on your phone and not check emails. That was not what I was supposed to talk about, haha! I thought I would show you what we had time to do for 10 hours in Singapore! We went that way on our way back to Europe and we have a friend that lives there and he showed us around. We started with a little tour to China Town – such a cool spot!

Frukt och massa butiker! Det finns en frukt där (och även i Indonesien) som heter Durian… Den STINKER verkligen, och jag har inte ens vågat prova den. Dom verkar älska den då den säljs lite överallt så här i China Town gick jag och höll för näsan, jag kan inte ens beskriva lukten. Rosematt köpte en när vi satt i bilen och då hängde dom den utanför bilen på bakluckan, så ni kan ju bara tänka er hur den luktar haha!

//Fruits and lots of stores! There’s one fruit there (also in Indonesia) that is called Durian… It smells SO bad, and I haven’t even had the courage to try it. They seem to love it since it’s sold in a lot of places so here in China Town I walked around and couldn’t breathe with my nose, I can’t even describe the smell. Rosematt bought one when we sat in the car and they hung it outside the car on the back, so you can only imagine the smell haha!

Det fanns så många butiker som sålde sånt här, och massa annat. Vi strosade runt där ett tag (inte där det såldes durian haha) och spanade in allt!

Vi stannade för ett litet snack vilket var sötpotatispommes med tryffel… YUM! Här är vår vän Chris också, han var en grym guide. :-)

Vi ville ju hinna se så mycket som möjligt så vi hyrde mini scooters och segways. Bästa tipset, så roligt och man var riktigt snabb! ;-)

//We wanted to see as much as possible so we rented mini scooters and segways. The best tip, it’s so fun and you’re super fast! ;-)

Vi gled runt och kollade in stan och alla byggnader – jag trodde nog att Singapore var större än det är. Det kändes så litet när vi var där!

Såhär såg vi ut, turisterna haha! Varför ser jag ut att vara typ 10 år gammal? Hahaha! What’s up med det stela leendet liksom?

Gardens by the bay – ett måste om ni är i Singapore! Jag har sett så många bilder från det här stället så det var riktigt häftigt att se. :-)

Efter en liten rundtur i Gardens by the bay så åkte vi tillbaka till stan igen, det var verkligen som flera olika länder på vår lilla tur.

//After a little tour of Gardens by the bay we went back to the city again, it was truly like different countries on our little ride.

Det här “båthotellet” har man ju sett en del bilder på också. Det ser verkligen ut som en båt som ligger på 3 pelare. Tycker ni inte? Så häftigt!

//This “boat hotel” is something I’ve seen so many photos of too. It really looks like a boat that is laying on 3 pillars. Don’t you think? So cool!

Det såg så coolt ut att vi var tvugna att gå upp dit för lite mat och drinkar. Kolla utsikten, och poolen… Vi gick till Lavo, en restaurang i Marina Bay Sands.

Det här var utsikten åt andra hållet, nu ser ni hur Gardens by the bay ser ut på kvällen också. Så fint! Efter lite mat så åkte vi tillbaka till flygplatsen och totaldeckade på flyget mot Europa. Vilken fantastisk mellanlanding, om ni åker någonstans med lite längre mellanlandning så rekommenderar jag verkligen att gå ut och utforska lite. :-) Tack Chris för att du är en grym guide och vän, vi hann se allt vi ville se! //This was the view on the other side, now you can see how Gardens by the bay looks at night too. So beautiful! After some food we went back to the airport and totally passed out on the flight back to Europe. What an incredible stopover, if you go somewhere and have a longer stop I really recommend going out and explore some. :-) Thanks Chris for being such a great guide and friend, we had time to see everything we wanted!
